There are so many things you can do at the beach and there are plenty of things that can keep you busy.
Here are the top 5 things on my list that you must do at Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.
Visit the shops.
I am amazed at all of the seasonal shops out there at Myrtle Beach. There is more out there than just the same 5 dozen swimwear shops also. Seriously there are about 50 thousand clothing shops that also sell souvenirs like magnets, shot glasses, and water globes. My favorite is one shop that even sells CBD oil and infused items (What is CBD?). One store I always visit called the Grasshopper. It is a very interesting store. The lady that runs it is an amazing personality who is great with kids, and even remembers you from year to year. This year we got thing 1,2,3, and 4 shirts made.
Go out to the pier.
This one is kind of a given since you are at Myrtle Beach. Most people want to visit the pier. Even fish off of it. But myself, I’d rather check out the underneath. Just the edge where you are under and the shore meets the beach and the waves come crashing into you. It’s like a whole nother world under there.
Try out Banditos.
There is a reason I visit this place every year. This restaurant has great food, an amazing family atmosphere, live music, and undiluted adult beverages. Therefore you will be sure to have a great time even with your kids. (this does not mean get drunk around your kids haha) (edited: Banditos wasn’t open last year and it isn’t open this year as of yet)
Visit the beach.
(well duh) I can spend countless hours on the edge of the ocean waves digging for lost treasures. I’d suggest a good metal detector. It’s one thing I don’t have but I have found many seashells, and my husband found a pretty rad pocket knife. The kids love to bring out the sand buckets and shovels and dig for those amazingly awesome seashells. We have found some pretty cool ones over the years.
The best for last. DON’T GET PREGNANT.
Ok so it is more like a must not do ha ha. I am kidding. If you want to get pregnant, then by all means try for it. I am only 4 months postpartum so I decided to drag my mother along as great birth control. (As if 4 kids aren’t enough) I went to the beach pregnant last year and Banditos was closed for rebuilding. It was a sad, sad time for me. Not that I could drink anyways. However, getting pregnant at the beach is high probability due to it’s relaxing atmosphere, being half-dressed, and alcohol. You can even eat oysters as a natural aphrodisiac. There is an amazing little contraption to help you know if you are fertile. This little microscope is great with helping you know when you are and are not close to ovulating.
Here are my must do’s when visiting Myrtle Beach. I hope you enjoy.
